About

Our Company Values

For those who are looking for financial advice, we realize the available options are many and deciding who to work with is a challenging problem. Listed below are our Company Values which we hope will give you a better understanding of how we operate.

  1. People Matter – We believe that each person is innately valuable and worthy of respect and honor. We believe that relationships matter and that business is relational, top to bottom. People First, Money Second is a priority statement that places people and relationships ahead of financial matters.
  2. Integrity Matters – We believe that integrity and truth matter. We believe we need to conduct our business in such a way that we are above reproach. We believe suitability and ethical practices come from placing a high value on other people and their needs before our own.
  3. Communication Matters – We believe that communication with our client partners builds and maintains the trust that is necessary for business relationships to reach their full potential. We believe that our client partners deserve the type of communication that is frequent, timely, truthful, & relevant.
  4. Service Matters – We believe that good service is practical and that great service is necessary in the pursuit of business excellence. We will pursue perfection and in so doing “catch a little excellence along the way.” (Vince Lombardi)

Kay Russell

President, Kay Russell And Associates

Several years ago, I lost my husband, I was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. Shortly after his passing the bottom dropped out of the market.  Investments were lost and although I thought I was financially secure; those losses were devastating and soon after I found myself having to start over.

I needed a career, I wanted something I was passionate about. How could I help people based on my own experiences? I wanted to help educate people about protecting family from loss of income and protecting personal and retirement assets from unforeseen circumstances and market volatility.

In 2007 I acquired my life and health insurance licenses and shortly after 2 securities licenses.

I’ve worked with independent advisors and large firms. I had some great learning experiences but became disappointed with some of the practices I witnessed, but never lost the desire for educating people and helping them where I can.

Today, I have my own practice with a focus of helping clients through education and customized plan design.

And on a personal note:

I’m the proud mother of a lovely daughter who is married to her high school sweetheart and has 3 wonderful boys.  We share many times together and travel to Oregon often to visit family and take in the lovely sites of the Oregon coastline.

I am an equine enthusiast, having had horses all my adult life. Today, I am blessed to have one lovely faithful steed, Teddy, who has been a great friend and companion, enjoying our times both on the ground and when we go out on the trail.

Teddy

Mascot, Kay Russell And Associates

Hi! I’m Teddy (sometimes known as Theodore when I have a little bit of an attitude).

I just turned 20 years old this past May 6th.

I came to live with my human and best friend, Kay, 14 years ago. She and I have a wonderful, bonded relationship.  I love to take her out on the trail and am happy when I see her coming to the barn for my feedings and grooming times. I especially like my showers, nothing like getting all wet and giving a good shake and getting her all wet too!

I look forward to sharing “Talks with Teddy” in our monthly newsletter. Let my human know what you want to hear me talk about, we can be serious, we can talk life lessons, or we can have a lighthearted, rearing good time. Frankly, I prefer the later.

Plan For Your Future

There is no one “best place” to put your retirement money because each individual and couple has unique requirements, different tolerances for risk, and need their money at different times. Likewise, there is no one place to keep your money that fits everyone for exactly the same reasons. Your unique circumstances must be taken into consideration if you seek to find the “most favorable place” for your retirement money. This is where we can be of service.
